About Ranthambore National Park-


Situated in Eastern Rajasthan, where the Aravali Hill ranges and the Vindhyan plateau meet, the Ranthambhore National Park was once the hunting preserve of the Maharajas of Jaipur. Ranthambore National park is famous for its tigers and is one of the best places in the country to see these majestic predators in the wild.


Wildlife -

The varied topography of the national park is home to animals like Tigers, Leopards, Striped Hyenas, Sambar deer, Chital, Nilgai, Langurs, Macaques, Jackals, Jungle cats, Sloth bears, Black bucks, Indian Wild Boar, Indian False Vampires, Indian Foxes, Indian Gerbilles, Mongoose, snub Nosed Marsh Crocodiles, Desert Monitor Lizards etc.


About Bharatpur

Keoladev National Park, Bharatpur, an aquatic eco-system of fresh water - swamp. A world famous bird sanctuary, declared a World Heritage Site in 1985. housing over 380 species of colorful resident & migratory birds waterfowls and also the magnificent black bucks, spotted deer, Sambar deer and blue bulls. The park is also one of the only three places in the world to harbor the wintering Siberian cranes. Every winter thousands of migratory birds turn this park into a glorious celebration of color and sounds. A virtual paradise for birds & bird lovers alike.
Detailed Itinerary.


Day 01 – 21/01/2009


Evening Departure for Sawai Madhopur by Jaipur Superfast Express at 6:50 pm from Mumbai Central.


Day 02 -  22/01/2009


Arrive Sawai Madhopur at 10:30 am. Transfer to Ranthambhore Forest Resort. After Lunch, Jungle Safari to Ranthambore National Park and experience majestic wildlife. On returning back to resort, we shall have an informative slideshow on wild habitat of Ranthambhor. Campfire & overnight stay at the Ranthambhor forest resort.


Day 03 - 23/01/2009


Leave for early morning Jungle Safari. Return to resort for breakfast. Some free time for relaxation & shopping. After Lunch, again we shall leave for a jungle safari at around 2:00 pm. After returning to the resort we shall enjoy Rajasthani Folk Dance and cultural show performed by local artists. Overnight stay at the forest resort.


Day 04 – 24/01/2009


After Breakfast leave for Bharatpur bird Sanctuary . After lunch relaxation . Evening short trail for Bird watching & Boating




Visit beautiful Taj Mahal @ Agra


Day 05 – 25/01/2009


Early  morning at 6.30 am visit  in Bird Sanctuary . Boating  in lake and after breakfast   Nature & Bird trail . After late  Lunch  back to hotel . Evening departure for Mumbai


Day 06 - 26/01/2009


Arrive Mumbai at  Afternoon with some wild memories.

Breakfast with Butterflies at Sanjay Gandhi National park

Dear All


A season to celebrate bountiful butterflies at Sanjay Gandhi National park
through a highly interactive programme that has been successfully run by Jungle Lore in last month.  It includes butterfly watching, audio-visual on Indian Butterflies, Tips on butterfly & Macro photography , caterpillar rearing,
setting up gardens for butterflies, baiting for butterflies and butterfly quiz.


We would like to invite all nature loving & like minded people like you on Sunday, 7th December 2008 for a Butterflies & Nature Trail to Sanjay Gandhi National Park. We are sure that this wild experience would be a memorable one for both you and "Jungle Lore"


About SGNP


Sanjay Gandhi National Park also know as Borivali National Park encompasses an area of around 104 sq kms. The park is famous for rich flora and fauna. The park is located in the northern suburbs.

This park has approximately 500 types of flowering plants, 250 species of birds, 30 species of mammals, 125 species of butterfly. It is also famous for the flowering plant named as "Karvi" which blooms every 7 years. The park is also famous for the wild cat namely the leopard. Today the park has around approx 25 leopards.
Silonda is a restricted area of the forest. One needs to take a proper permission from the forest department before entering in it. It is a stretch of 3.5 kms (single way) for nature trail. During monsoon the road is muddy. One can trace the different color crabs & spiders in monsoon. During the trail one can see the Racket tailed Drongo, Red whiskered Bulbul, Barbet.. you can also hear the bird which sound like " will beat you..." and many more..You can also notice the Pagoda ants nest on the trees. 
In Silonda area one can find different types of medicinal herbs, species of birds and  insects.
